Once again a very warm welcome to all our players supporters and visitors alike - here is a special greeting from the Club President and Club Chairman.

As president of this fine Club it is my honour and privilege to welcome you to the updated SRFC website. There is something for everyone here and apart from the usual matches and results there will also be coverage of social events and entertainment associated with the Club so I would encourage everyone interested to get involved and feel free to submit items for inclusion from time to time. On the rugby side I want to take this opportunity to wish in-coming J1 Captain Colm Hurley, and the J2 Captain (yet to be announced) every success on the field of play, and I ask all our supporters to give them every encouragement in the coming season. I would also like to wish our Coaching personnel continued success  for another year in the Leagues and Cups. The lifeblood of any Club is their youth and we are privileged to have so many enthusiastic and dedicated Coaches to look after their needs and help promote the love of the game from Minis to U18 - a thank you to all concerned. I look forward to meeting you at a match at some stage during the season and if not perhaps later in the Clubhouse for a drink.

As Chairman of Skibbereen RFC I would like to welcome you to our website for the 2011/2012 season. We hope this year to reach more of our members and supporters with updates on what is happening in our club as the season progresses. I would like to wish our Club Coach and J2 Coach Kieran Hourihane every success in the coming season as well as Club Captain Colm Hurley and the yet to be appointed J2 Captain. I would also like to wish all of our players at all levels an enjoyable and successful season. Our coaches at underage and mini levels contribute enormously to our club and its future. On behalf of the club I wish to express our thanks to them and pledge the support and commitment of the club to them in their work. Special thanks also to my fellow officers, club committee, all club volunteers and club sponsors. Your efforts and generosities are greatly appreciated.
