The 2011 Annual General Meetings will take place during the month of May. A notice to that effect appeared in the Southern Star on Thursday 12^th May.

The first AGM caters specifically for the Underage sections of the Club and will take place in the Clubhouse on Wednesday 25^th with a starting time of 8.00 pm. This will effectively be the first full AGM for this section of the Club and all coaches and parents as well as others interested in promoting underage rugby are asked to attend. During the past season history was made when at a specific meeting for the underage there was unanimous agreement to formalise the underage section and elect an interim committee to administer to the different age-groups. Niall Hurley is the Club Youth Officer and he was elected as the interim Chairman and Regina Coombes was elected as Secretary and the administration has functioned well in the intervening period. Not all positions were filled on the night and since then Karen Benn has been appointed as Child Welfare Officer. It is to be hoped that it will be well attended meeting on the night and that there will be enough interest shown to fill all the positions on this very important committee. Once again the underage AGM is on Wed. 25^th May at 8.00 pm in the Clubhouse.

The adult AGM takes place two days later on Friday 27^th May with a starting time of 9.00 pm. It is hoped that there will be a full turnout of players and members present as there is as always much to discuss and many positions to be filled on the committee. Some Officers have already declared their intention to step down having completed their term and in keeping with good practice it is hoped that people will be prepared to step-up to the mark and continue with the good work. It is not in the interest of the Club to have the same people at the top table each year simply moving from one chair to the other – new blood is always needed to provide new directions and fresh ideas – so you are being asked to give some consideration to getting involved in the administration of the Club at some level for the coming season. If everyone did a little then the few wouldn’t have to do so much. Once again the adult AGM is on Friday 25^th May at 9.00 pm.
